As editor of the newly-released book, "The Road To Independence: Women's Journeys To Starting Their Own Law Firms," Karen M. Lockwood appears with a panel of women who wrote letters for the book, and Chair Bobbi Liebenberg, at the main presentation by the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession. Held at the ABA's Annual Meeting in Toronto, Canada, this program will be fascinating and interactive. The program will be presented also for distribution on-line in the fall. Karen M. Lockwood attended "Vision 2020" representing the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession, which was a "National Ally" organization. She contributed thought leadership in Business, Law, and Finance, and reported the subgroup's work on Finance.
Vision 2020 -- named for achievement of women's equality by the year 2020 -- is sponsored by Drexel University School of Medicine. It explores the status of women, and the next steps for equal advancement in 4 major fields of endeavor. The symposium gathered Delegates from the 50 states and DC, and from National Ally organizations.
